Toledo
Toledo boasts an extensive cultural and monumental heritage as one of the former capitals of the Spanish Empire and place of coexistence of Christian, Jewish and Moorish cultures. The fishing is not that bad either!
Click on a fishery in the list to go straight to that fishery. Otherwise simply use the scroll bar to navigate throughout this page. In Spain, a day ticket fishery does not necessarily cost you money. Most simply require permission from the relevant authority.

Embalse de Cazalegas
Free fishing for carp, bass and barbel. This fishery has been affected quite badly by nitrogen runoffs from the surrounding farm land. Fishing can sometimes bit a hit and miss affair due to this.
Species and Methods
- Carp. Plenty of fish in the 5 to 12 kilo range. The larger fish tend to lurk a l9ong way from the shore, so distance fishing is the key. Fish boilies over a large bed of the same for some cracking sport.
- Bass. Fish up to 1.5 kilos are present. Small artificals are the way to go, with surface poppers proving useful during the summer months. If you can fish ffrom a boat then do so, as the fish tend to frequent deeper holes far from the shore.
- Barbel. There are lots of small barbel in the 0.5 to 1 kilo bracket. Fish corn on a small feeder or waggler, about 3 rod lengths out, for some good sport.
